"Levi’s work as Micachu can have a woozy, lilting feel, but on “Peace,” she gives it to us straight: The effect is maybe closer to that of Levi’s movie scores for Jackie and Under the Skin; “Peace,” written for her mother, feels like an affirming moment in a soundtrack composed for decidedly everyday moments." - Pitchfork
"It's a nice twist to see works like this pressed on a 7-inch and presented with Levi's own drawings. It feels intimate and relaxed, as opposed to the grander scale of most classical music. This single feels like a peek behind an institutional curtain, provided by warm and friendly spirits that understand both sides of the divide" - Resident Advisor (3.8/5)
Foom presents two new pieces by Micachu (Mica Levi)—one for cello, played by Oliver Coates, and one for piano, played by Eliza McCarthy.
"Peace," written for her mum, was first played publicly by Oliver Coates live on Micachu's radio show on NTS in October 2014. It was re-recorded especially for this release in November 2016, and follows Mica Levi & Oliver Coates' recent collaborative album, Remain Calm.
"Riding Through Drinking Harpo Dine" is the first of an ongoing series of piano compositions written by Mica Levi for Eliza McCarthy (winner of the 2013 British Contemporary Piano Competition, and pianist on the Jackie soundtrack). Mixed by Micachu, the piece is a reworking of "Harpo Dine" from Micachu's Feeling Romantic Feeling Tropical Feeling Ill mixtape from 2014.
The artwork for the release was created by Mica Levi, and features on the outer sleeve, printed innersleeves and centre labels of this limited edition 7" vinyl release.

This is one of the best albums i've ever heard. I swear, I will never hear anything like it again.
